Financial problems occur when we live beyond our financial
means. There is nothing inherently wrong with borrowing money, but it can
produce many hardships.
What are you borrowing for? Is it for a piece of furniture, a vacation, a gift? I would advise you not to borrow money for these kinds of things. Live within your means. Borrowing money for a house may well prove to be a “wise investment.”
A Bible verse I keep in mind when thinking about this matter is Proverbs 22:7, “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”
