Can you explain what it means to be “cursed” by God?
The words blessings and curses are often used in association with God. Generally speaking, blessings are considered positive consequences and curses are considered negative consequences. I think of the word curse in a broad category that includes all negative consequences. Within that broad category are subcategories such as discipline (temporary punishment, motivated by love and intended to sanctify), and condemnation (both temporal and eternal, motivated by wrath and intended to fulfill justice).
